Instructional Development Seminar

The Instructional Development Seminar is a series of courses that aim to enhance teaching and learning on campus. The seminar allows participants to engage in academic discussions about teaching and learning. The Framework for Learning & Teaching is a central guiding influence in the courses. The courses are integrated, but each has a specific focus centering on learning objectives, learning activities, and assessment. The courses may be taken in any order. The seminar meets for forty-five minutes once a week over ten weeks. Participants receive a half-credit stipend for each course.

For the Spring 2024 Semester, the course will be meeting at the CLT every Wednesday from 4-5 pm starting May 14, 2024. The topic for this semester is "Linguistically Responsive Instruction."
