CLT Workshop

Wednesday, October 21
2:30 PM - 4:00 PM
JFS Library Cove

Learn with BYUH Center for Learning & Teaching for a CLT Workshop with the topic "From AI to Access: Finding, Accessing, and Evaluating Scholarly Research Using AI."

Many students and faculty are turning to AI to assist with literature searches to support research, but few may be aware that these searches can be connected and verified directly with our library resources. In this workshop, Stephanie Robertson, Becky DeMartini, Jeff McLellan, and Zoia Falevai will help you discover how to move from AI and Google searches to reliable library access.

This hands-on workshop will introduce LibKey Nomad, show faculty how to connect to full-text scholarly articles through library subscriptions, and demonstrate library tools for verifying authors, citations, and publication information. Faculty will also learn strategies for locating articles and journals when full text is not immediately available. Bring a laptop or a device to be able work to work along during the workshop.

Prior to the start of the workshop, our library faculty and staff will be available to show visitors various resources available to support student teaching and research, such as the Maker Space and Podcast Studio. Tours will begin at 2:30 pm.

All full-time and adjunct faculty are invited to attend. Refreshments will be provided. Join for a chance to win CLT prizes. See you there!
